AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL SERVICE TO CONTRACT FOR CONSULTING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO AID THE LEGISLATIVE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE IN THE COMMITTEE'S CONTINUED WORK OF ANALYZING AND DEVELOPING SOLUTIONS TO ADDRESS KEY HEALTH CARE COST DRIVERS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the legislative council service for expenditure in fiscal years 2026 through 2028 to contract for consulting and technical assistance to aid the legislative health and human services committee in the committee's continued work of analyzing and developing solutions to address key health care cost drivers. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2028 shall revert to the general fund.
