AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE TO OPERATE AN AGRITOURISM PROGRAM THAT WILL FOCUS ON MARKETING AND PROMOTING NEW MEXICO'S AGRITOURISM INDUSTRY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2026 for the New Mexico department of agriculture to operate an agritourism program that will focus on marketing and promoting New Mexico's agritourism industry. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2026 shall revert to the general fund.
